Gran parte de los conciertos se producirán dentro de la gira “Metal United ‘22«, iniciativa impulsada por la agencia Area 51 Metal y en la que gran cantidad de bandas de nuestra escena se unen para recorrer todo el país de manera itinerante. De está manera Snakeyes tendrá el placer de compartir cartel junto a grandes bandas como: Dark Moor, Ars Amandi, Xtasy, Evil Hunter o Nova Era.

Además, con motivo del anuncio de la gira, la banda ha decido lanzar un video en directo. La canción en cuestión es “The Evil Dead”, sonando por primera vez en directo  en el festival Algarroba Rock del pasado 21 de septiembre en Algarrobo (Málaga), además de suponer la vuelta a los escenarios tras el gran parón obligado por la pandemia.

Las canciones en acústico forman parte de la fiesta de lanzamiento en streaming de “Evil Must Die”. Con motivo de la pandemia, y unos días antes del estado de alarma, la banda se vio obligada a suspender todos los eventos públicos, por lo que de manera urgente se adaptó el lanzamiento a las circunstancias del momento. SnakeyeS editó “Evil Must Die” el 28 de marzo de 2020. Se trata de un viaje a través de diez nuevas canciones producidas y mezcladas por el bajista de la banda José Pineda, que harán recorrer a todos los seguidores de la banda por varios escenarios, tanto reales como de ficción: la guerra, la política, la religión o el cine y la literatura de terror están presentes durante todo el álbum. “Playing with Armageddon” is our very special gift for this Christmas and as part of  our next release with the same name.

“Playing with Armageddon” (also the title of this new record) has been written and recorded for the band’s next full-length album, so the fans can consider it as a very early first single off this future record. As a breath of fresh air, for the first time in its history, SnakeyeS worked with someone outside the band on this new song: the renowned Danish producer Jacob Hansen, known for his work with artists such as Volbeat, Primal Fear or U.D.O, is responsible of mastering “Playing with Armageddon” at his very own Hansen Studios.

Following the release of “Evil Must Die” in March, SnakeyeS continues with plans for its next record: “Playing with Armageddon”. An entire new disc filled with bonus material, which also includes a new song which will premiere next week with a brand-new promo video next week.

“Playing with Armageddon” ha sido compuesta y grabada pensando en un futuro nuevo disco, por lo que también se puede considerar como primer single del mismo, con la gran novedad de que por primera vez trabajan en el apartado del sonido con alguien externo a la banda. Re-releasing an album is unusual, but we felt it is the least we could do to give new life to a record we invested a lot of time, money, and passion in. We wish to leave behind a year everyone wants to forget and to re-release “Evil Must Die”, symbolically, at the very start of 2021.

So here we are again, trying to give you the best of ourselves. We have prepared a special edition aimed at what we miss the most: the live shows, where the whole presentation and production are totally different to a studio album, giving the songs new life. An exciting, new way to enjoy the band.

“Playing with Armageddon” es el título que hemos elegido para el relanzamiento de “Evil Must Die”. Relanzar un disco es inusual, pero creemos que lo mínimo que podemos hacer es volver a darle un empujón a un disco en el que tanto tiempo, dinero y trabajo hemos invertido. Para ellos, y dejando atrás un año para olvidar, simbólicamente el lanzamiento oficial será justo cuando empiece el 2021 en el que tenemos depositado tanto optimismo.

Muchas cosas han pasado desde que justo después de decretarse el estado de alarma decidiéramos seguir con nuestro planes, que a pesar del esfuerzo se vieron truncados por esta maldita pandemia. Por desgracia nos tocó, y tuvimos en apenas unos días, volver a planificar todo de nuevo y pasar de hacer el concierto de presentación y la rueda de prensa prevista en Madrid a un  formato acústico y streaming. Creyendo que esto pasaría más pronto que tarde, los meses pasaron y el impacto, en lo que debió ser un gran lanzamiento, se convirtió en un paso casi desapercibido. Así que aquí estamos de nuevo, tratando de daros lo mejor de nosotros y para ello hemos preparado una edición especial orientada a lo que más echamos de menos: los directos, donde la producción es totalmente diferente al disco lo que hace de estos una una nueva experiencia de disfrutar a la banda.

Además, después de meses componiendo y como enlace a nueva etapa, aprovechamos para lanzar el primer single de lo que será el próximo disco, en el que ya estamos trabajando. Para ello vamos a editar de manera muy limitada un Digipack que será una expansión del actual disco y estará formado por el siguiente tracklist:

“I Am Evil” es la canción elegida para este vídeo, dirigido nuevamente por el director artístico de la banda Leo Traverso, y como tema principal del álbum, representa en gran parte la esencia llevada a cabo a lo largo de todo el disco a nivel sonoro, lírico y visual, dejando un contundente mensaje respecto a parte de los grandes males a los que la humanidad se ha tenido que enfrentar durante este último siglo.

Con respecto a las fechas de presentación las fechas de Zaragoza y Valencia programas para el mes de abril se reubicarán para más adelante.
